Description Ibrutix 140 mg Uses Ibrutix is a prescription medicine for treating adult patients with the following blood cancers: Mantle cell lymphoma Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia Small lymphocytic lymphoma Chronic lymphocytic leukemia and Marginal zone lymphoma (MZL) How Ibrutix Ibrutinib 140 mg Capsule Works Ibrutinib, the active ingredient in Ibrutix, works by blocking the activity of a specific protein called Bruton’s tyrosine kinase, or BTK. Bruton’s tyrosine kinase is a protein found in your B cells. It sends “signals” that help B cells to survive and multiply. By blocking BTK, this generic medicine helps kill and reduce the number of cancerous B-cells. This stops or slows the progression of cancer. How to Take Ibrutix Capsule Take Ibrutix 140mg once a day at about the same time every day. Your dosage and duration of treatment will depend on blood cancer type, your age, how severe your condition is and how you react to the first dose. Capsules should be taken orally with a glass of water. Do not open, crush, or chew it.
